New Clip From Dave Franco’s ‘The Rental’ Will Have You Second Guess Your Next Vacation

Credit: IFC Films

The directorial debut from Dave Franco is impressive first attempt. The film is beautifully shot that lets you find pleasure in its simplicity. Leaning on storytelling and character building relationships is the heart of the film. Co-written by Franco and Joe Swanberg it primarily takes place in one beachfront setting as this isolation horror thriller takes hold.

Two couples on an oceanside getaway grow suspicious that the host of their seemingly perfect rental house may be spying on them. Before long, what should have been a celebratory weekend trip turns into something far more sinister, as well-kept secrets are exposed and the four old friends come to see each other in a whole new light as seen in this new clip from the film. Check it out below along with our review.

In select theaters and on-demand Friday, July 24, 2020 from IFC Films.
